DescriptionThis nice holiday home is located in the medieval town of Pals, on the Costa Brava, just east of the city of Girona. It is part of a suburb and lies just 1500 meters from the sandy beach and a supermarket, 1800 meters from the Platja de Pals golf course, 20 km from the Flaçà train station and 60 km from Girona airport. Situated atop a hill overlooking Platja de Pals, this charming town with its cobbled streets, craft shops, traditional restaurants and bars, is a great holiday destination in Catalonia. The airport is just to the south-west of Girona and is approximately 45 minutes away by car. Playa de Pals is situated within a crescent shaped 4-kilometer bay; it isn't so much a resort as a collection of elegant hotels and residences, with a beautiful white sandy beach surrounded by pine trees.

Local areaPals' central location on the Costa Brava makes it ideal for exploring numerous surrounding attractions like Begur, Torroella and Palafrugell, not to mention the medieval town of Peratallada. Take the train from the station at nearby Flaçà and you can quickly be in the center of one of the most exciting cities in Europe: Barcelona! The town of Figueres was the birthplace of Salvador Dali and is now home to his incredible museum. Figueres can easily be reached by car. Other places of interest include the old market town of La Bisbal, famous for its ceramics; the ancient remains at Empuries; the botanical gardens at Cap Roig; the monastery of Montserrat; the lovely old Gothic center of Girona; and the old harbor town of Saint Feliu with its medieval monastery.?? The 3.5-kilometer-long beach of Pals is ideal for water sports but you also have the chance to play other sports here including golf and tennis. Pals Golf Club is considered one of Spain’s finest golf clubs. And if all this is not enough, Playa de Pals features a variety of cafes, bars and beach restaurants. |
