Local areaThe city of Medina Sidonia is one of the richest historic cities of Cadiz (Andalusia). It is located south of the White Villages Route and is famous for its bull herds. Medina Sidonia has been the meeting point of different civilizations (Phoenician, Roman, Muslim). It boasts numerous buildings and landmarks like first-century Roman sewers; a Roman bridge; the remains of the Moorish castle of Torrestrella dating from the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries; the arches of Pastora, Belén and Puerta del Sol; the monastery of San Jose del Cuervo; the seventeenth century convent of the Descalzas; the Visigoth hermitage of the Holy Martyrs from the seventh century; and the church of St. Mary of the Crown which dates from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. The latter is one of the most significant examples of late Gothic architecture in Cadiz. From here you can go wherever you want, because everything is just a stone's throw away:
